This is to check that you have no physical conditions which may stop you falling pregnant or which might indicate that Clomid is not a suitable drug for you. Do not take Clomid if you have an allergy to Clomid or any of the ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet. Do not take Clomid if you are pregnant. Like most fertility medicines, Clomid should not be taken during pregnancy.

To avoid inadvertently taking Clomid during early pregnancy, you should perform tests during each treatment cycle to determine whether ovulation occurs. You should have a pregnancy test before the next course of Clomid therapy. Do not take Clomid after the expiry date EXP printed on the pack. If you take this medicine after the expiry date has passed, it may not work as well.

If you are not sure whether you should start taking Clomid, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have pre-existing or a family history of hyperlipidemia high cholesterol levels or hypertriglyceridemia high triglyceride levels in blood. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are breast-feeding. Like most fertility medicines, Clomid is not recommended while you are breast-feeding. The chances of multiple pregnancies are higher when you use Clomid.

You should be aware of the potential complications of multiple pregnancy before taking Clomid. Discuss this with your doctor. Fold the blister package of 10 tablets in half lengthwise so that the 5 tablets on each side of the platform 'face' one another. This will perforate the backing foil along the middle of the platform. To remove a tablet from the platform, peel the backing foil from the middle of the platform towards the outer edge. The recommended dose for the first course of Clomid is one tablet per day for five days at the beginning of your cycle.

If ovulation does not occur, your doctor may advise you to increase the dose of Clomid in subsequent treatment cycles. Do not take an increased dose unless instructed to do so by your doctor. Taking more than your doctor prescribes may overstimulate your ovaries, possibly damaging your ovaries and endangering your health. Follow all directions given to you by your doctor and pharmacist carefully.

These directions may differ from the information contained in this leaflet. If you do not understand the instructions on the box, ask your doctor or pharmacist for help. Your doctor will advise you on which day of your cycle to begin to take Clomid. If you do not have regular periods your doctor may prescribe other tablets eg. Use this bleeding to time your Clomid course. Take Clomid at about the same time each day. This will help you remember when to take the tablets. Long term therapy with Clomid is not recommended.

Your doctor will tell you for how long you should take Clomid. Do not take a double dose to make up for the dose that you missed. This may increase the chance of you getting an unwanted side effect. If you have trouble remembering to take your medicine, ask your pharmacist for some hints. Immediately telephone your doctor or pharmacist or the Poisons Information Centre telephone 13 11 26 , or go to Accident and Emergency at your nearest hospital, if you think that you or anyone else may have taken too much Clomid.

Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning. You may need urgent medical attention. Be careful driving or operating machinery until you know how Clomid affects you. Clomid may cause visual disturbances in some people. Make sure you know how you react to Clomid before you drive a car, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous if you are dizzy or have blurred vision. Tell your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible if you do not feel well while you are taking Clomid.

She said I had a 7. Whatever that means Does anyone know what that means? If you do, can you please explain it to me? However, I would be happy with one baby! A progesterone level of 7. My doctor actually wants to see it A LOT higher… at would be optimal. I suggest getting an ovulation kit, you can find affordable ones on Amazon or eBay, and testing twice a day at CD 12 and so on until you get a positive ovulation test, and then getting your blood tested 7 days from that day.

I ovulate anywhere from CD 16 to CD Thanks for your respond. This is my first month on clomid 50mg. I had my blood work on cd 21 again. However, this time my progesterone level was at 4. How can it go down on clomid? Hi I just wanted to post on here that I took one round of clomid 50g on days !!! Found out I was pregnant first go. Had my first ultrasound yesterday and….. Came as a massive shock. The only side effects I had on clomid was crying constantly anything would make me cry and hot flushes especially at night!!!

I was prescribed 50mg clomid and got pregnant with fraternal twins during the first month of taking it. I had a great pregnancy, a vaginal birth and I now have two very healthy eight month old boys. I too always thought it would be great to have twins but after 13 months with my spunky little girl I think 2 would have been 2 overwhelming!! We are trying for No. We started trying at 7 mo. I ovulate very late and irregularly from what I can tell. Would Clomid help this? Hi guys im from tx i have been trying for a baby for 2 yrs miscarry the first child at 12 weeks and then a year later miscarrying my second at just 6 weeks my doctor put me on clomid this time because of the periods between took so long so i hope it works.

Are you pregnant im excited to have found this i research like crazy trying to see if it might work for me. I am about to start my first dose of clomid meds i have one son who is four and i would secretly love to have twins as well… but ill be blessed with whatever god gives me i just hope it or them are happy, and healthy: I have recently started taking it. Hi all; I am 28 and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for a year and a half.

I have always longer 34 days and slightly irregular cycles. Follow up bloodwork on days 3 and 21 showed that I did not ovulate, but I continued using the OPK and got a positive LH surge on day I am ovulating too late and possibly too short of a luteal phase. I started Clomid 50 mg days this cycle and went in for a follicle scan on day I had many follicles, but the largest by far was only 12mm.

This was VERY disappointing to me, almost devastating. Will it ever happen for us? Will I be able to handle the emotional turmoil? High hopes to sheer disappointment every month? Do I continue clomid or just deal with the reality that I am infertile? So many thoughts and fears. By my calculation, the largest follicle would have been 26mm at time of ovulation. During Clomid CD , I experienced headaches, hot flashes, and mild discomfort in my ovaries.

Immediately after O, I experienced very sore and hard nipples and breast tenderness. Today is 11 days past O and CD 28 for me, and still mild cramps in uterus and very heavy, swollen, painful breasts — my normal bras barely fit me. My sister and I are very much alike — she is 9 mos pregnant and said that her breasts became very enlarged even before her missed period and was her first clue that she was pregnant, so this has be hopeful that this is the same for me.

I am praying that I am pregnant and this is not just a very intense cycle. If not, I will continue Clomid and increase to mg. This scares me, as twice the dose means twice the side effects but maybe also twice the possibility of success? Ladies- this is not for the faint of heart. I wish you all the luck with TTC, but I also wish you strength and support during this stressful and emotionally draining time.

Try to have fun and be resilient. Also, have someone close to talk to. My sister is an OB Gyn, so she has been my shoulder to cry on so to speak and share my frustrations and concerns. I hope you have someone like that to talk to, or have a very sensitive partner to listen to you. We have been trying to have a baby for over 2 years now, and it has not happened yet. Doctor is thinking about starting me on Clomid. I have a chance for twins, as my dad is a twin, so it runs in the family.

After I heard that clomid rasies your risk for twins, I told my doctor that is fine with me, because I really want twins. So I guess we will see what happens when she gets me started on it. I am hoping this will help. Reason she wants me to start on this, is because I am not ovulationg. I have collectively been TTC for over 8 years.

My first marriage ended, in part, because of my infertility. I am 30, which is the beginning of the end as far as fertility goes. My husband and I have been TTC for almost 2. I am on my second cycle with Clomid mg did 50mg first cycle. I have ultrasound monitoring of my ovaries. My husband is completely supportive of this….. We both desperately want to be parents. He has said since day one that he wants 3 or 4 children and that multiples would be great! Mostly, though, I just want to get pregnant, carry to term and have a happy healthy baby, or two!

I started clomid yesterday! I have two daughters 16, 5 and 2 older step daughters! I so want a boy but I love having girls! I sure hope this works! My husband is about to be 46 and he says one more year and we need to be happy with the ones we have! But they are all so amazing of course I want more!!! I pray you all get the bundles of joy you all deserve! The costs, the risks, and the time is so discouraging to start that route.

I started my first round on Clomid this month after being unable to get pregnant with my husband for almost 3 years. We have twins on both sides of our families, so we have almost been aware that twins are a higher possibility. One baby would be wonderful, but two would also be a great blessing and what an adventure. It is so uplifiting to read that couples got pregnant on their first round of treatment.

The only side effects I had while taking the Clomid for the 5 days were a great deal of hot flashes. They decreased and resolved a few days after finishing the 5 days thank goodness. I do ovulate normally, but was started on Clomid to hopefully increase ovulation. I took clomid, and got pregnant 1st time!!! I have being trying to be pregnant with clomid for 5years now. This blog is great. Every time the test had a — we would be heartbroken. So now my Dr. I am actually feeling very good and confident on it.

Tonight I will be on my 3rd pill and am really hoping this will do the trick. Twins sound incredible, but whatever the guy upstairs has in store we will be thrilled with. On a side note I am also temping and using a digital ovulation monitor. Impaired fecundity is an impaired ability to get pregnant or carry a baby to term. Out of these nearly about 1.

One of the major causes for this is anovulation. Anovulation is a condition of absent ovulation or lack of ovulation in women or in other words when the ovary does not release a ripened egg during menstrual cycle every month. Generic Clomiphene citrate or its brand Clomid is the front runner in the treatment of normally oestrogenized, anovulatory women. When a woman, suffering with anovulation, takes Clomid or generic Clomiphene citrate, this medicine reduces the estrogen receptors at hypothalamus, this result in stimulating pituitary to release follicle stimulating hormons FSH much in the same manner as Gonadotropin releasing Harmon GnRH does.

Before any women buy clomid for the treatment of infertility caused due to anovulation, she must note that weight reduction is an important part of this therapy, as body mass index is very closely associated with negative response to Clomid. One must avoid any other ovulation induction therapy along with Clomid as; this may result into multiple follicular developments, increasing the chances of ovarian hyperstimulation and multiple pregnancies.

Taking account of many observation, MedsOnline recommends to all women suffering from anovulatory infertility, should continue the treatment with clomid for at least 6 cycles before considering any other invasive or complex treatment. An orally administrated medicine for treatment of infertility in women, Clomid Clomiphene citrate USP tablet is a non-sterodial, ovalatry stimulant.

This medicine has a great success rate of treating women with infertility caused due to anovulation is designated pharmacologically as 2-[p- 2-chloro-1,2-diphenylvinyl phenoxy] triethylamine citrate 1: Generic Clomiphene can get easily soluble in methanol and in ethanol, where as partially soluble in acetone, chloroform and water, is white to pale yellow in color.

This medicine is odorless. Branded as Clomid, generic Clomiphene is a combination of two geometric isomers. Each tablet of Clomid contains Clomiphene 50mg as active molecule and corn starch, lactose, magnesium stearate, pre-gelatinized cornctarch and sucrose as in-active compounds. With proper care and dose management, Clomid, a pharmacologic potential medicine has shown high rates of success while treating anovulatory patients desiring pregnancy.

When a patient starts a dose of Clomid 50mg, the active compound Clomiphene starts a series of endocrine event with tissues containing estrogen receptor culminating in a pre-ovulatory gonadotropin resulting in succeeding follicular rupture. As the endocrine series starts release of pituitary gonadotropins increases, which further initiates steroidogenesis and folliculogenesis. This whole process results in growth of the ovarian follicle and increasing and decreasing level of estradiol and pro-gesterone same as it happens in a normal ovulatory cycle.

The two geometric isomers of Clomiphene citrate, cis zuclomiphene and trans enclomiphene has estrogenic and anti-estrogenic properties. How to start the dose of Clomid: To get the best result from clomid, it is advised to start the your dose of Clomiphene 50mg on third, fourth or fifth day of your menstrual cycle, taking one pill of 50mg every 24 hours for five day. Some healthcare providers recommend single course of progestin medicine like Provera to push a menstrual cycle, if the women does not have regular period.

But recent developments in the treatment of infertility with clomid suggest that the pregnancy rate is higher without inducing bleeding with medroxyprogesterone like Provera. During a cycle of 28 days, the ovulation occurs between 14 to 19 days of the cycle. To optimize the chances of getting pregnant with clomid, one must use ovulation predictor kit OPK to plan intercourse. The ovulation predictor kit uses the urine sample to predict ovulation by measuring the luteinizing hormone level.

The first day of luteinizing hormone surge between midnight to 8 am and the following day are the best time to plan intercourse. If someone does not want to use the OPK kit, it is advised to have intercourse every alternate day for one week on around tenth day after the menstrual period starts. This may need survival of the sperm in the upper genital tract which may dim the chance in some instances. After completing the first month of treatment with clomid, if the ovulation does occur and pregnancy is not gained, it is advised to increase the dose of Clomid 50mg each month until ovulation occurs.

If the pregnancy does not occur after ovulation, there is no benefit of increasing the dose as there may be some other reason for failure to achieve pregnancy. Studies show that pregnancy is achieved within the first six ovulatory cycles when Clomid is used for infertility treatment. Treatment with Clomid does not require ultrasound or blood harmon monitoring. The risks of severe side effect are very low with generic Clomiphene which improves the chances of becoming pregnant in number of women who suffer from no ovulation or irregular ovulation.

As Clomid is available in its generic form of Clomiphene this makes it more cost effective as you can buy clomid online at MedsOnline for successful treatment of infertility. If these tests are normal and the couple would like to continue with clomiphene treatment, other investigations, such as weight loss or gain, might be suggested. A normal or near normal weight according to BMI reduce the risk of complications during pregnancy and delivery. Hi ladies, just wanted to give you a little hope, i had been struggling to fall pregnant for 4 years, and doctor recently found out after blood tests and a lyproscopy that i just was not ovulating and my right tubes were abnormal, so he prescribed clomid at mg on days …thank the heavens but im currently 7 weeks pregnant after only 1 round of clomid.

Is there anyone here that I could contact? God I love this thread. I feel like Kate… So super hopeful. But I keep having horrid side effects.
